Cookies

The website of AFS MEDICAL GmbH uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on a computer system via an Internet browser.

Numerous Internet pages and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identification of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters, by means of which Internet pages and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited Internet pages and serves to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other Internet browsers containing a cookie. A specific Internet browser can be recognised and identified by its unique cookie ID.

By using cookies, AFS MEDICAL GmbH can provide the users of this website with user-friendly services that would not be possible without placing of cookies.

By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimised to the benefit of the user. As already mentioned, cookies enable us to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to facilitate the use of our website for our users. For example, users of our website must not re-enter their access data each time they visit the site, because this has been captured by the website and by the cookie stored on the user’s computer system. Another example is the cookie of the shopping basket in the online shop. Via a cookie, the online shop remembers the items a customer has placed into the virtual shopping basket.

The data subject can at any time prevent our website from placing cookies by means of the corresponding setting on his or her Internet browser and permanently object to the placing of cookies. Furthermore, already placed cookies can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programmes. This is possible in all common Internet browsers. If the data subject deactivates the placing of cookies in on his or her Internet, not all functions of our website may be fully usable.

Privacy Policy for the use and application of Google Analytics (including anonymisation function)

The data controller has integrated he Google Analytics component (with an anonymisation function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service. Web analysis is the capturing, collection and evaluation of data on the behaviour of visitors to websites. A web analysis service captures data on, for example, via which website the data subject has gained access to a specific website (so-called referrers), which sub-pages of the website were accessed. How often and for how long a sub-page was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimise a website and to analyse the costs and benefit of Internet advertising.

Google Analytics is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

For web analysis via Google Analytics, the data controller uses the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp”. This addition is used by Google to shorten and anonymise the IP address of the data subject’s Internet connection if our Internet pages are accessed from a member state of the European Union or from another contract state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyse the visitor flow to our website. Google uses the data and information collected to evaluate the use of our website, to compile online reports for us on website activity and to provide other services related to the use of our website.

Google Analytics places a cookie onto the data subject’s computer system. An explanation on what cookies are, is available above. By placing a cookie, Google is enabled to analyse the use of our website. With each access to individual pages of this website, which is operated by the data controller and on which a Google Analytics component was integrated, the Internet browser on the data subject’s IT system is automatically prompted by the respective Google Analytics component to transmit the data to Google for online analysis purposes. As part of this technical process, Google gains information about personal data, such as the data subject's IP address, which Google uses, among other things, to track the origin of visitors and clicks and subsequently enable commission settlements.

The cookie is used to store personal information such as access time, place of access and frequency of visits to our website by the data subject. With each visit to our website, these personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by the data subject, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may share this personal data collected through the technical process with third parties.
The data subject can prevent placing of cookies by our Internet page, as explained above, at any time by the corresponding settings of the Internet browser used, thereby permanently objecting the placing of cookies. Such setting on the Internet browser used would also prevent Google from placing a cookie on the data subject’s IT system. A cookie already placed by Google Analytics can be deleted via the Internet browser or other software programmes.
Furthermore, the data subject has the option to reject to and prevent the capturing of data generated by Google Analytics and relating to the use of this website and the processing of this data by Google. To do this, the data subject must download and install a browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information on visits of Internet pages may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is regarded as an objection by Google. If the data subject’s IT system is subsequently deleted, formatted or reinstalled, the data subject must reinstall the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics. If the data subject or another person within his/her sphere of control uninstalls or disables the browser add-on, it can be reinstalled or reactivated.

Further information on Google’s current privacy policy is available at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. A detailed explanation on Google Analytics is available at https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/.
