This workshop focuses on the challenges of complex abdominal wall defects. On the first day, OA Dr. Obrist will give two theoretical lectures on abdominal wall defects. On the second day of the workshop, participants will be able to observe live operations.
This 2-day workshop starts with a theoretical part, explaining the basics of inguinal hernia surgery in lectures, followed by patient presentations for the next workshop day. On the second day, live operations will take place at the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Salzburg followed by further lectures and, of course, plenty of time for answering questions and professional discussions.
The 2-days workshop enables basic skills training for aspiring physicians specializing in surgery, gynecology and urology. The course participants train the sensorimotor skills, basic laparoscopic techniques and perfect laparoscopic suturing techniques.
